Sierra Delaine is a Cleveland based musical artist, songwriter, producer, and creative facilitator whose work centers feeling, presence, and intentional space making. Her practice is rooted in the belief that music can be a place to pause, reset, and reconnect, both individually and collectively. Drawing from soul, jazz, R&B, hip hop, and experimental looping, she creates immersive experiences that invite reflection, resilience, and growth.

At fourteen years old, Sierra knew she wanted to take her artistry seriously. Attending Cleveland School of the Arts marked her first step toward becoming a professional artist and committing to her creative path. She later studied classical and jazz voice at Central State University and Cleveland State University, where she developed a strong technical foundation while continuing to shape her artistic identity. Growing up while traveling across Cleveland daily, she formed a deep relationship with the city and its communities, learning early how environment, people, and sound are deeply connected.

Over time, Sierra’s practice has evolved to prioritize process as much as performance. Over the past year, she has expanded her work through live performance, collaboration, and interdisciplinary exploration. During her time as a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Summer Artist in Residence, she used the residency as an incubation period to experiment deeply with live looping. This exploration led to the expansion of Loop Sessions as a collaborative project, beginning with a featured Loop Session with Cleveland based poet Substance. The resulting work was released across digital platforms, where it received a strong response and was later recognized by Cleveland Magazine as one of the city’s top thirty favorite projects of the year.

In January, Sierra presented LOOP SESSIONS LIVE at Cleveland Public Theatre as a participatory installation with live audiences. Over three days, more than one hundred participants engaged with the work, contributing sounds, words, and memories that were layered into evolving loops. The installation emphasized continuity, connection, and collective presence, and was met with an overwhelmingly positive response.

Building from this momentum, Sierra’s current project, Loop Session Creative Collection, supported by the Ohio Arts Council, is an audio visual documentation project consisting of ten Loop Sessions with ten Cleveland based artists across varying disciplines. The project centers collaboration, learning, and play, highlighting individual artistic voices while reinforcing shared creative process.

As her work continues to grow, Sierra remains committed to creating spaces where people can slow down, reframe, and move forward with greater clarity and care. Through her music and facilitation, she continues to invest in peace, resilience, and connection within the city that shaped her.
